Understanding Cardiac Device Interrogation

Device interrogation reviews how an implanted pacemaker, ICD or CRT system is functioning and how it has responded to the patient’s rhythm. Regular review can identify battery, lead, rhythm or programming issues.
The heart has its own electrical network. When signals become too slow, too fast or poorly coordinated, patients may feel palpitations, fatigue, dizziness, fainting or breathlessness. Rhythm care begins by recording what is happening and matching the treatment to the individual rhythm and heart function.
